CityArchRiver Foundation Becomes Gateway Arch Park Foundation

After celebrating the opening of the new Kiener Plaza this weekend with project partners, the CityArchRiver Foundation is proud to announce that it has become the Gateway Arch Park Foundation. The new name is part of a rebranding to reflect the future of the organization. As the renovation of the Arch park and surrounding areas nears completion, the Foundation has transitioned to a conservancy model over the last year.

Gateway Arch Park Foundation will partner with the National Park Service, Great Rivers Greenway, City of St. Louis, Bi-State Development and Jefferson National Parks Association to ensure that the Gateway Arch and its surroundings are a vibrant, active, well-supported attraction for generations to come.

“This new name and brand for the organization reflect who we are and what we will be for the future of this public-private partnership,” said Carolyn Kindle Betz, vice chairman of the Gateway Arch Park Foundation and senior vice president and executive director of Enterprise Holdings Foundation. “As this transformational renovation of the Arch grounds comes to a close, we want the community to know that the Gateway Arch Park Foundation will be here in perpetuity to work with our partners in keeping this a world-class attraction and park.”

“Over the last year, Gateway Arch Park Foundation has positioned itself to be a partner in perpetuity to the National Park Service and City of St. Louis to keep the Arch park area vibrant and active,” said Eric Moraczewski, executive director of the foundation. “As this transformational project nears completion, we are thrilled to work with our partners to bring a continually exceptional experience for visitors and St. Louisans at the Arch.”

As part of the rebrand, Gateway Arch Park Foundation has a new logo that represents the Arch and the park in a single, unified symbol. The Gateway Arch soars above the park beneath as expressed by the horizontal line. The symbol emphasizes the monumental stature of Arch through contrasting scale. It is easily recognizable, memorable, timeless, and modern like the Arch itself. The typeface is based on a modern san-serif font used by Eero Saarinen and complements the new signage and wayfinding system at the Arch.

Gateway Arch Park Foundation recently kicked off its Gateway Arch Park Friends membership program, which provides an opportunity for members to support the fundraising efforts of the foundation and enjoy significant benefits in the downtown area. The Foundation also has produced several event series including Winterfest, Yoga, and Blues at the Arch, a concert series in partnership with the National Blues Museum which will return this August.
