Steel Guitar Conventions
Share your memories of this site.
The Steel Guitar Conventions were held at this hotel for many years. I was honored to meet Don Helms, who played for Hank Williams' band; Leon Rhodes, who was one of Ernest Tubb's Texas Troubadours; Lloyd Green, a member of the Nashville "A-Team" that backed up so many huge country hits in the 60s and 70s; and Barbara Fairchild, my mother's favorite singer. It was a country music fan's heaven!
