My future husband, my mother, and I stayed there (Stouffers) the night of the 7th game of the 1982 World Series, which the Cardinals won! My father, a life-long Cardinals fan, had passed away 3 months earlier, but we knew he was watching the game with us. That hotel was one big party that night! Good times I will never forget! (We rode up the elevator with Joe Garagiola.)
