B.A.R.K. Ranger Photo Contest

Submit photo in JPEG or PNG format as an email attachment to photocontest@archpark.org by Friday, April 21 at 11:59 p.m. In your submission, please include yours & your dog(s)’s names, your dog(s)’s age, and a short 1- to 2-sentence bio for your dog(s).  Limit 2 animal entrants per household. Previous winners are not eligible to win again.

Photos will be uploaded into a photo album on Gateway Arch Park Foundation’s Facebook page. Voting will begin on Facebook on Friday, April 14 and end on Friday, April 21 at 12 p.m. Winner will be announced and notified shortly after voting closes. Winner will be first contacted via email by Gateway Arch Park Foundation’s Digital Content Coordinator, Alex Bakken [alex.bakken@archpark.org]. Winner will not be contacted on social media or via third parties.

The winner of the contest will be the photo with the most “likes” within the original Gateway Arch Park Foundation photo album at the conclusion of the contest.  “Likes” on your “shares” will not be counted.  Only “likes” (votes) on the original photo will be counted.
 

The contest winner will throw out the honorary "First Fetch" at the St. Louis Cardinals' game on Saturday, May 6. The contest winner will also receive a gift basket that includes donations from Purina, Gateway Arch Park Foundation, and the National Park Service.

The winning dog will receive the title of “B.A.R.K. Superintendent” and will be the inspiration for the next B.A.R.K. Ranger t-shirt design. The new B.A.R.K. Superintendent will be featured on Gateway Arch Park Foundation’s social media and asked to attend occasional B.A.R.K. Ranger events throughout the year at the park, if available.

Note:  All photo submissions become the property of Gateway Arch Park Foundation and may be used for promotional purposes.  Submission of your photo opts you in to receiving our e-newsletter. Gateway Arch Park Foundation respects your privacy and will never sell your information to third parties. You may unsubscribe at any time.

By submitting my photo to the dog photo contest, I agree to the following:

• I understand that the contest is open to U.S. residents ages 18 years and over. 
• I acknowledge that submission of the photo is voluntary and that I will not receive financial compensation of any type associated with the submission.
• I certify that I am the owner of the photo or that I have the right to grant the rights and licenses set forth in this Agreement.
• I understand that if my photo is the contest winner, I must be able to pick up the gift basket at a mutually agreeable time and understand that it will not be shipped.
• I certify that the submission and use of the photo does not violate, misappropriate or infringe on the rights of any third party, including without limitation, privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, trademark and/or other intellectual property rights.
• Photos that are partisan-political, contain advertising, personal attacks or expletives, or are otherwise abusive, threatening, unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, libelous, obscene, false, sexually explicit or that infringe on the rights of any third person will not be accepted.
• I may not submit photos for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, and I agree to comply with all laws, rules and regulations applicable to the photo.
• Gateway Arch Park Foundation reserves the right to remove, block and or monitor photos, but shall have no obligation to do so.
• In consideration for allowing me to submit the photo, I hereby grant Gateway Arch Park Foundation a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, right and license to use, publish, reproduce, display, perform, adapt, modify, distribute, have distributed and promote the photo in any form, in all media forms, now known or hereinafter created, anywhere in the world, for any purpose. I waive any right to inspect or approve any use of the photo.
• I submit photos at my own risk. Gateway Arch Park Foundation does not maintain any responsibility for the photos submitted.
• Gateway Arch Park Foundation does not endorse any photo.
• I hereby hold harmless, release and agree to indemnify Gateway Arch Park Foundation from any and all claims, actions, liabilities, and expenses that may arise out of or in connection with submitting the photo.
• Employees of Gateway Arch Park Foundation are ineligible to win this contest.
• This Agreement shall be governed and interpreted by the laws of the State of Missouri (as applicable) and the federal laws of the United States of America.
• Winner must be available to participate in B.A.R.K. Ranger Day on April 30 and the 'First Fetch' at Busch Stadium on May 6.
• I have read and fully understand the contents of this Agreement.
